On behalf of Allegany County NAACP Unit 7007, we are honored to invite you to attend their 2026 Juneteenth Festival - a powerful celebration of freedom, unity, and community. Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and serves as a reminder that freedom, though delayed, is always worth fighting for. As we approach our country's 250th anniversary, this moment calls us to reflect deeply on our shared history and recommit ourselves to building a more just and unified future. Allegany County holds a unique and meaningful place in that story. With its historical ties to the Underground Railroad, our community has long stood as a passage toward freedom and hope. This festival is not only a celebration but a continuation of that legacy.
