Workers install pavers in the western block of Baltimore Street on Friday, part of a $16 million renovation of the downtown mall being completed by Triton Construction of St. Alban’s, W.Va. Workers this week installed concrete curbs on a portion of South Liberty Street, poured a crosswalk at the intersection of North Liberty and Frederick streets and completed utility work, including storm sewer and fiber conduit, on North Centre. Next week, some of the orange barricades will be taken down on North Liberty Street so workers can better secure other areas of the project. Pedestrians are advised to only use crosswalks to get from one side of the street to the other.
